DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona L Anna Batrus continued to thrive as the starting libero for the Lions last week in a trio of non-conference matches. In Wednesday night's loss at Gettysburg, she posted 16 digs. In a win over Penn State Berks on Saturday, she had 28, then followed that up with 15 digs later that day in a loss to Stevenson. On the week, Batrus recorded 59 digs and averaged 5.9 digs per set.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State L Caley Larson led the Pioneers' backline all weekend, totaling 37 digs, tallying seven again SUNY Poly then following that with back-to-back 15 dig games against SUNY Canton and Oswego, while also adding four aces on the weekend...Hilbert L Natalie Ruhlmann was a strong defensive force for the Hawks as they went 1-1 at Waynesburg on Saturday, notching 32 digs, one ace and four assists...Pitt-Bradford DS Kayla Maslowski collected 64 digs over two matches as the Panthers split the Wilson Trimatch Saturday, as she had 26 digs, one ace, and four assists in the five-set win over the hosts.
