The Penn State Behrend Lions and Penn State Altoona Lions will clash on Saturday afternoon in the AMCC Women's Volleyball Game of the Week. Behrend and Altoona are two of the final three teams undefeated in the AMCC, with Wells College being the third. 

Behrend carries an 8-3 record in its last 11 matches. The Lions are coming off a 3-1 win over the reigning AMCC Champions Alfred State on Wednesday. Senior setter Meg Goodsel was one dig shy of a triple-double against the Pioneers. Goodsel hit .444 with 10 kills, 30 assists and nine digs. Goodsel continues to lead the league in assists per set (8.88). Behrend holds a slight edge in the all-time series with a 15-14 record against Altoona, dating back to 2002. Altoona defeated the Lions 3-2 last year during the regular season

Penn State Altoona women’s volleyball enters Saturday’s home match against Penn State Behrend with a 2-0 record in the AMCC. Offensively, freshman outside hitter Lia Simanski ranks sixth in the conference in points per set (3.2) and kills per set (2.95), while senior outside hitter Lacee Barnhart is 12th in points per set (2.6) and 14th in kills per set (2.11). The Lions have also been strong defensively, including leading the AMCC in digs (1,137) and digs per set (19.95) as a team. Individually, junior libero Anna Batrus is second in the conference in digs per set (5.51) and third in total digs (314), Barnhart is eighth in both total digs (242) and digs per set (4.25), and junior middle Makenna Port ranks seventh in blocks per set (0.55).
