VOLLEYBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM ANNOUNCED; RICHARDS NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Mount Aloysius College sophomore OH Molly Richards has been tabbed as the 2023 AMCC Women's Volleyball Player of the Year. Richards finished the regular season first in the AMCC in overall in kills (417) and kills per set (4.01). She recorded 488 digs overall, including 192 in conference play, ranking second in the AMCC with 5.49 digs per set against AMCC teams. She finished first in the conference with 174.5 points in conference play, averaging an AMCC-leading 5.0 points per set. Richards was one of the most significant contributors on both offense and defense in the conference throughout the season.

Penn State Altoona OH Lia Simasnki has been named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Simanski had an outstanding freshman season for the Lions, ranking in the top 20 in the AMCC in many statistical categories. She finished the regular season fourth in the conference in attacks (909), seventh in kills per set (2.81), eighth in kills (242), ninth in points (269) and points per set (3.1), 12th in digs (283), and 13th in digs per set (3.29).

Penn State Altoona head coach Jamie McGreal has earned Coach of the Year honors in her first year at the helm. After a 4-3 finish a season ago, McGreal led the Lions to an 8-1 record this season and the No. 1 seed in the AMCC Championship Tournament. The Lions went on to win the first conference title since 2011.
