The AMCC Women's Volleyball Game of the Week features a showdown of the last two remaining undefeated teams in the conference. Alfred State College (13-6, 2-0 AMCC) will travel to Cresson, PA to take on Mount Aloysius College (8-13, 2-0 AMCC) for an 11:00am start time.

The Alfred State Women’s Volleyball team is running on all cylinders winning seven straight matches leading into the heart of conference season. The Pioneers' offense is led by outside hitter Racquel Gerstenberger who is fourth in the conference for kills per set with 2.91 and third in the conference for total kills with 186. The Pioneer offensive attack continuously gets off to a fast start, with momentum coming from Nayomie Ferrer Santiago who averages the highest rate of service aces per set in the AMCC with 0.86, followed by Gerstenberger and Becca Brown, who round out the rest of the top three in the AMCC. Ferrer Santiago is key in the Pioneer attack, with 6.14 assists per set, good enough for third in the conference. The efficient offense shows throughout, as Alfred State has the .199 kill percentage which is the top number in the AMCC. Keturah Gregory has the highest kill percentage in the conference at a .329 clip.

Mount Aloysius is on a two game win streak, picking up big conferene wins, both 3-0 sweeps, over Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Altoona. Ashlee Parrish ranks second in the AMCC with 198 total kills and third with 270 total digs. Emily Henry leads the Mounties, and ranks third in conference, with 0.62 blocks per set. As a team, Mount Aloysius sits atop the conference with 820 kills on the season, and has also recorded an AMCC-best 1,294 digs. The Mounties are also on top with 756 assists as a team.  

Alfred State won both of last year’s meetings 3-0 sweeping the doubleheader from Mt. Aloysius on October 16 of 2021.
