AMCC VOLLEYBALL TEAMS PREP FOR POST-SEASON TOURNAMENTS

The Franciscan University (13-16, 7-2) women's volleyball team will be making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament after pulling off the upset in the AMCC Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon. The Barons won in five sets in a stunning comeback over Penn St. Altoona. 

Franciscan will travel to Wittenberg College in Springfield, OH and face Juniata College (27-7) on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

The Penn State Altoona women's volleyball team learned that its postseason would continue this week when the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced that the Lady Lions were selected as one of the teams to compete in the Division III South Region Tournament.

Penn State Altoona earns the number seven seed in the regional tournament and will travel to Geneva College for a first round match this Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 PM. Geneva is 24-10 overall this season and lost 3-0 to Thomas More College in the Presidents' Athletic Conference championship on Saturday.

The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team received its sixth bid to the ECAC South Region Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 19-2 record.

The Lions are the fifth seed and will travel to No. 4 Bethany on Wednesday night for first-round action, beginning at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 15 and face the top-seed Carnegie Mellon.
