DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche M Kiki Nemcek dominated on the defensive end for the Redhawks in their 2-0 week. In Wednesday's victroy over Ursuline, Nemcek scooped up seven ground balls, picked up five draw controls and caused four turnovers, while scoring a pair of goals. In Saturday's win over Alfred State, she added another five ground balls, six caused turnovers, a draw control and scored two more goals. For the week, she finished with 12 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, six draw controls and four goals. Nemcek is currently tied second nationally in caused turnovers per game at 3.78.

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert D Sam Accurso stepped up defensively in the Hawks two games this past week. Playing a mix of midfield and defense, she rarely stepped off the field, she picked up seven ground balls, won six draw controls, and caused nine turnovers, she excelled in her 1v1 defense and was a big part in the Hawks clears.
