BOWLER OF THE WEEK: La Roche FR Ashley Kennedy excelled at last weekend's three-day invitational hosted by Saint Francis University which consisted of four Division I schools, two Division II schools and three Division III schools. In day two of the Red Flash invite, Kennedy finished 9th out of 59 individual competitors, totalling 929 pins in five traditional games, an average score of 185.8 per game. Kennedy was the only D-III student-athlete to finish in the top 10. On Saturday, against undefeated, nationally ranked #13 Mount St. Mary's, Kennedy bowled the highest score in the match, totalling 210 pins, her best mark of the tournament. On the week, Kennedy averaged an 18.54 per frame score in traditional play (1st in AMCC) and 14.84 in Baker format. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius SO Nicole Nebel had a terrific week at the Red Flash Invitational. On Day 1, she led the team in Baker average (18.5) as she bowled a team-high 50 frames on the day, as the Mounties went 3-2. She led the Mounties again on day two with a traditional average of 171 and a high-game of 192, among her five games. The last day she finished up with a 17.7 Baker average, to give her an 18.3 average for the weekend, for one of her best performances of the year...PS-Altoona FR Kayla Moran had a strong weekend for the Lady Lions in the three-day SFU Red Flash Invitational this past Friday through Sunday. She averaged a team-best 146.7 in Saturday's traditional team matches, bowling three of her team's five games on the day and posting the Lady Lions' second-highest score of the day with a 169 against Division I opponent Youngstown State University. In Friday and Sunday's baker matches combined, Moran recorded her team's second-best Baker average with a mark of 13.07 pins per frame.
