SAINT VINCENT SWEEPS AMCC ROUND ROBIN; EARNS TOP SEED IN CHAMPIONSHIP

The Saint Vincent College women's bowling team secured the #1 seed in the AMCC playoffs by sweeping the competition in the second AMCC round robin held in Bradford, PA. Pitt-Bradford finished in second place with a 7-1 record, while Medaille College rounded out the top three with a 5-3 record.

The Bearcats went 8-0 for the weekend. After a 4-0 start on Saturday, Saint Vincent picked up four more wins on Sunday with victories over Medaille (880-773), La Roche University (962-855), New Jersey City University (935-745), and Penn State Altoona (895-628).

For the tournament, the Bearcats (8-0) averaged 179.1 as a team, while Medaille (5-3) was second at 170.9.

Saint Vincent's Monique Koehler led all bowlers in the field of 57, averaging 203.3 for the tournament, while the Bearcats' Abby Kyle was second overall at 195.0. La Roche's Winter Brown was third overall with a 189.5 average.

After the two round-robin preliminary events, Saint Vincent has a record of 14-2 in the AMCC (22-5 overall).  The Bearcats have earned the #1 seed and a first round bye in the AMCC Championships, which will be held March 25-27 in Beaver Falls, PA.
