SAINT VINCENT, MEDAILLE TO CLASH IN AMCC BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Top-seeded Saint Vincent College went undefeated throughout the winner's bracket in the AMCC Bowling Championship Tournament to advance to Sunday's championship match against #2 Medaille College, who enters Sunday's championship contest with one loss on their tournament record. 

In the winners bracket, Saint Vincent started out strong with a 971-818 victory over Medaille in the traditional team format. Jackie Koehler's 206 for the Bearcats was the top score to open the day. It was then Medaille who started to take over, as the Mavs earned a convincing victory in the five-game Baker series, knocking down 1012 total pins to the Bearcats' 878. Medaille started out the best-of-7 Baker series just as hot, jumping out to a quick 3-1 lead (193-179, 153-158, 192-157, 175-155). The Mavericks only needed one more win in the series, but it was Saint Vincent who made a late comeback just in time, as the Bearcats swept the final three games (191-148, 195-162, 162-134) to win the series and the Match to advance to Sunday's championship match-up. 

Pitt-Bradford started out Match 6 in the elimination bracket by defeating Penn State Behrend 902-780 in the team match format, with Brookelyn Garvey leading the Panthers with a high score of 214. The Panthers continued to roll by picking up another win the five-game Baker series with a 900-721 victory over the Lions, advancing to Match 7 Saturday afternoon. 

Match 7 saw Medaille take the early lead with a 941-777 victory over Pitt-Bradford in the traditional team format. Medaille's Taylor Strickland paced the Mavs with a game-high 215. The Mavs continued to cruise in the five-game Baker series, earning the 876-773 win to advance to Sunday's championship match against Saint Vincent. 

The AMCC Championship Match will take place Sunday morning at 9:30 with #1 Saint Vincent and # 2 Medaille squaring off for the AMCC title.
