MEDAILLE TOPS AMCC BOWLING SCHOOLS IN COACHES PRESEASON POLL

After tying at the top of league standings after the 2019-20 AMCC regular season with 16-2 records, Medaille College and Saint Vincent College are once again expected to finish at the top, with the Mavericks edging out the Bearcats. Mount Aloysius College, with a 15-3 conference mark a year ago, is also expected to finish in the top three. The 2020 AMCC Bowling Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saint Vincent senior Dani Koehler and Medaille sophomore Sarah Radt have been tabbed as the AMCC Preseason Co-Bowlers of the Year.

Koehler was named the AMCC Player of the Year in 2019 as a sophomore, while being a two-time AMCC first team all-conference performer in her sophomore and junior seasons. She led the team in most statistical categories despite battling injuries throughout last season. Koehler returns for her senior season and third year as team captain.

Radt averaged 18.14 overall last season, as she bowled over 1,049 frames. She was an AMCC first team all-conference selection and was named the 2020 AMCC Newcomer of the Year. She was also the NCAA statistical category champion for single pin spare conversion rate (91.1%) and overall spare conversion rate (72.5%).

The AMCC Championship will be held Saturday, March 20 at Sim’s Lanes in Beaver Falls, PA, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
