MEDAILLE'S RADT TAKES TOP HONORS AS ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IS ANNOUNCED

Medaille College sophomore Sarah Radt has been named the 2021 AMCC Bowler of the Year. Radt led the conference this season in overall scoring average (20.158), overall fill percentage (89.7%), traditional scoring average (20.800), traditional fill percentage (92.5%), Baker scoring average (19.796), and Baker fill percentage (88.2%). She was also tops in the conference in overall scoring average (20.158), individual frame fill Percentage (89.7%), traditional format scoring average (20.800), traditional format fill percentage (92.5%), and Baker format fill percentage (88.2%). Radt was also the 2020 Newcomer of the Year and an AMCC all-conference first team selection. 

New Jersey City University freshman Rebecca Hoff and Medaille freshman Kendyll Jaskier have been tabbed as AMCC Co-Newcomers of the Year.

Hoff, just a rookie, served as the Gothic Knights' fourth bowler in the AMCC Round Robin #1 as NJCU went 2-1 in Baker. She bowled an averaged of 161.67 per match, including a single-match high of 186. In the AMCC Round Robin #2, Hoff led NJCU to a 2-1 record in traditional play, averaging games of 180.67, with a single-match high of 210 to beat out all bowlers from every team on the day.

Jaskier was instrumental in the Mavs success this past season, finishing third overall in the conference in total scoring average with 18.805. Jaskier finished the regular season ranked in the top three in the AMCC in several categories: individual scoring average (3rd, 18.085), traditional scoring average (2nd, 19.60), Baker scoring average (3rd, 18.422), individual fill percentage (2nd, 85.2%), Baker fill percentage (2nd, 84.1%), individual spare conversion percentage (2nd, 76.3%), individual "makeable" spare conversion percentage (2nd, 83.3%), individual split leave percentage: (3rd, 6.3%).

Coach of the Year honors goes to New Jersey City University second year head coach Rusty Thomsen. The Gothic Knights have seen a tremendous turnaround in their program in the past two years since Thomsen and associate head coach Frank Parisi took over the reigns. New Jersey City finished the 2020 regular season tied for eighth place out of ten teams with a 4-14 record. A season later, they finished the 2021 season with a 4-2 record in AMCC play and earned the No. 2 seed in the southern division heading into the AMCC conference tournament. Thomsen also coached Hoff to Co-Newcomer of the year honors.
