BEHREND FALLS TO NO. 1 SPRINGFIELD IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Penn State Behrend (22-8) men's volleyball team fell 3-0 to the top-ranked Springfield Pride (27-1) in the first round of the NCAA Championships held on Friday afternoon. 

The Springfield Pride extends their winning streak to 14 straight matches to advance in the NCAA Tournament. The Pride hit .614 with 41 kills on 57 attempts with six errors over six sets. Jarrett Anderson had a match-high 12 kills on 14 attempts with no errors. Cody Schnur led the Lions with six kills, while Diego Ortiz handed out 11 assists. JP Goodsel and Owen Wienczkowski each added four kills. Springfield edged Behrend 25-19 in the first set and only allowed 17 points over the next two sets to advance.

The Lions finish the season with a 22-8 overall record
