The Geneva College Golden Tornadoes men's volleyball team will travel to Erie, PA on Saturday to take on the Penn State Behrend Lions in the AMCC Game of the Week. The contest will be held in the Junker Center at 2 p.m. No spectators are allowed.

The Geneva men’s volleyball team is currently riding a six-match winning streak, including the first three matches of AMCC play this season.  Combined with the past two seasons, the Golden Tornadoes have now won nine straight regular season AMCC matches.  These two teams matched up three weeks ago in a non-conference matchup, and Geneva prevailed in a competitive match, 3-1.  The Golden Tornadoes have been led all season by junior Peter Barbato, but Geneva has also been getting contributions recently from a number of players, including senior Dan Townsend, sophomore Byron Spear and freshman Carter Milroy, giving the Golden Tornadoes a balanced offensive attack.

Behrend enters the contest with a 3-4 overall record and ranks fourth in the AMCC with a 2-2 conference mark after falling to Medaille College on Wednesday night, 3-0. The Behrend Lions will honor senior Colin Dedert before the match. He has played in 144 sets and 50 matches in his career, recording 258 kills, 97 digs and 52 blocks over his four years, while also helping the Lions to their first ever AMCC Championship in 2018.  Dedert and freshman Logan Hering rank fifth and sixth in kills per set in conference matches only, respectively. Dedert is averaging 3.00 kills and Logan registers 2.86 per set, while Adrian Martinez is first in digs per set with 3.29 in four AMCC matches. Behrend has three remaining conference matches and needs to finish in the top four in the AMCC to secure a spot in the conference tournament. The Lions are looking to avenge a 3-1 loss to Geneva in the season opener back on March 5
