PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona SO Andrew Ferguson won two more events for the Lions this past week, helping Penn State Altoona golf remain undefeated this season. In Wednesday's Penn State Division III Challenge at Toftrees Golf Course in State College, he shot 76 and won a playoff for first place to rank atop the pack of 26 golfers. In Saturday's Penn State Altoona Spring Invitational at Sinking Valley Country Club in Altoona, Ferguson shot even par with a season-best 72 to place first in a field of 37 golfers. Ferguson finished the week with a 74.0 average in two rounds, two individual titles, and helped Penn State Altoona to a pair of first place finishes.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend SO Ryan Meyer led the Behrend Lions twice this week, carding a team-low 78 at the Penn State DIII Challenge for fourth place before posting a season-best 77 at Altoona to take third place...Pitt-Bradford JR Johhny Fiore led the Panthers to a third place finish at the Penn State Altoona Invitational, firing a 6-over 78, which put him in fifth place...La Roche SO Casey Hulbert shot the second- and third-best rounds of his collegiate career last week, as he finished with an 80, the best overall individual score against Carlow last Tuesday (4/6), and then shot an 82 at the Penn St. Altoona Invitational (4/10), finishing T-14th.
