PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona SO Trey Heffelfinger had a great week for the Lions in three rounds. In Friday's dual match win at home over non-conference opponent Juniata College, he shot 67 to set a new Penn State Altoona men's golf record for the lowest score in a round in team history and also place first out of 16 total individuals competing in the match. In day one of the two-day Allegheny College Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational on Sunday in Meadville, Heffelfinger fired a 75 to finish the day in a tie for eighth place out of 68 individuals. During day two of the Allegheny Invitational, he shot 70 to compile a two-day score of 145 and finish in a tie for fourth place out of 68 golfers. His score of 70 is tied for the third-lowest score in a round by an individual in Penn State Altoona men's golf history. Heffelfinger averaged 70.67 per round this past week.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Bradford FR Broderick Kamuda got his first collegiate tournament medal at the Medaille invitational, firing a 5-over 77 to win the tournament by three strokes while also leading the Panthers to their first tournament win of the season...Medaille FR Ben Tubbs had the best score of the team at the Medaille Invitational, as he shot a 86 at thar par 72 course, putting him in fifth place overall...Hilbert FR Michael Petrus led the Hawks for the fifth consecutive match this season carding an 87 to lift Hilbert to a second place finish amongst the field of five teams at the Medaille Invitational on Monday afternoon.
