BEHREND GOLFERS CLAIM JAMES BOWEN INVITATIONAL; PERFETT WINS INDIVIDUAL MEDALIST HONORS

Penn State Behrend freshman Jack Perfett and senior Sean Sculley led the Behrend men's golf team to victory at the James Bowen Invitational hosted by Penn State Behrend on Monday afternoon.

The Lions had two teams in the top three out of 11 competing squads for the invitational named after the former golf coach at Behrend. The Lions A squad won with a team-low score of 307 behind individual medalist Perfett (73) and runner-up Sculley (75).

Penn State Altoona was second with 314 and the Behrend B team was third, scoring a 316.

Sculley tied Behrend sophomore Mark Peters for second with a 75, as Peters was the top golfer on the Behrend B team.

Penn State Altoona Payton Guelich led the Lions with a 76 average, good for fourth place.

Tying for fifth place was Behrend junior Noah Kunst and Alex Shindledecker, along with Altoona freshman Luke Hoffnagle and Jimmy Gillespie, all who carded a 77.
