BEHREND FINISHES DAY ONE AT ECAC MID-ATLANTIC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Penn State Behrend men's golf team is tied for seventh place out of 16 after the first day of the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championships held at the Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, New York.

New York University is in first place with a day-one score of 296. Only one stroke separates the next three teams. Rutgers-Camden is in second place with a 297, while RIT and SUNY Oswego are tied for third with a 298. The Lions posted a score of 314 to sit tied with Castleton and Hobart.

Freshman JT Kuchnicki and junior Sean Sculley are tied for first on the team and 31st overall with a 78 for the course.

Junior Alex Shindledecker and sophomore Noah Kunst are also tied together. They sit tied for 40th after the first day with a 79, while junior Ryan Matlock is one stroke ahead with an 80 to tie for 50th overall.

Behrend returns to action tomorrow for day two of the ECAC Championships.
