PENN ST. BEHREND TAKES EARLY LEAD IN MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

At the conclusion of Day One of the AMCC men's golf championship at Oak Tree Country Club, Penn St. Behrend is at their familiar perch atop the leader board.  The Lions collectively carded a 304, 13 strokes ahead of Penn St. Altoona (317).  Behrend junior Dante Vetica is the indidividual leader after 18 holes, firing a 277 for par, while teammate Nicholas VanDamia shot a 79 to put him in second place.

The women's invitational was won by Mount Aloysius College sophomore Daniela Batisti, who shot a 96, followed by Mountie freshman Abigail Love with a 104.

The men's championship continues on Monday with golfers at the first tee at 8am.
