PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche F Tyler Frederick helped the Redhawks improve to 5-0 in AMCC play and move to the top spot in the conference standings. In two games, the Butler native averaged 28.5 points per game, 12.0 rebounds per game and 2.0 steals per game, recording double-doubles in both contests. Against Mt. Aloysius on 12/18, Frederick scored 21 of his 23 total points in the second half to lift LRU over the Mounties, 78-62. In the AMCC game of the Week against Pitt Greensburg, the battle of undefeated conference opponents, Frederick scored a career-high 34 points shooting 15 of 21 (71%) from the field in an 89-73 black and red victory. Frederick's 15 made field goals against the Bobcats are a conference season-high.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State G Ryan Gentile had a career night in the Pioneers' only contest of the week, as he shot 52.4% (11-for-21) from the field and had 36 points vs. Hilbert, while also pulling down eight rebounds and adding three steals...Medaille F Rodney Graves had a stand out week for the Mavericks that saw the team win two important conference match ups, as he averaged a double-double for the week, recording 12 points and 12 rebounds against UPB, and then added anouther double-double against the Spartans with 18 points and 11 rebounds...Hilbert G Hunter Martineau led the Hawks to a win over Alfred State with 11 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds, as he also led the defensive charge with four steals...Franciscan G Sean Hickey led Franciscan in scoring this week as they battled Division I St. Francis (Pa), he recorded 17 points in the loss, but shot it impressively by going 50% from deep and 100% from the free throw line while also pulling down six rebounds and dishing out two assists.
