PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona F Dwayne Jones was the Lions' high scorer in a 2-0 week of AMCC play. In Wednesday night's home win over Pitt-Greensburg, the junior finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. He followed that up with another strong game in Saturday's home victory over Wells, matching his career-high in points with 28 to go along with eight rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal. On the week, Jones averaged 26.0 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and 2.0 blocks per game. He shot an impressive 62.9 percent from the floor and also connected on 44.4 percent of his three-point attempts.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State C Cody Schneider averaged 25.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game, as he opened the week with a 34 point game against Hilbert, where he shot 59 percent from the field including seven threes, he then he tallied 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals in a loss to Pitt-Greensburg...La Roche G Michael Brooks was a huge part of continuing La Roche's winning streak this past week, as he hit for 22 points and added seven reboudns, four assists and two steals in Wednesday's 83-71 win over Mt. Aloysius, he then followed that performance on Saturday, scoring 17 points in an 85-73 win over Pitt-Bradford...Pitt-Greensburg G Matthew Marinchak averaged 19.5 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game over two games for the Bobcats, as he recorded his first career double-double in a win over Alfred State with 22 points and 10 rebounds...Pitt-Bradford G Jesse Laster averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, as he led the Panthers in their win over wells, scoring 24 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field, while also grabbing 14 rebounds and shooting 100% from the line, making all 10 free throws he attempted...Carlow G Galen Waters shot 9-for-10 from the field, landing five of Carlow's seven three-pointers to score a season- and game-high 23 points in the 59-56 win over Hilbert that snapped Carlow's 10-game losing streak...Hilbert F Eddie Perez led the Hawks last week, averaging 16 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, as he collected his team-leading sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds in a tough road loss to Carlow over the weekend...Mount Aloysius G Will Hagwood averaged 16 points per game for the Mounties across three conference games this week, adding 5.0 rebounds per game and 2.7 assists per game.
