PLAYER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville F Brian Nwaekeke had the best week of his career this past week, recording career-high scoring totals in back-to-back games. Nwaekeke started off the week by scoring a career-high 26 points in a thrilling game against Medaille on Wednesday. He shot 61.1% from the field and played a career-high 39 minutes. Nwaekeke also grabbed a team high 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. On Saturday, the sophomore then had another outstanding performance. He tied his career high with 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. He played 38 minutes in the game, adding a pair of steals. Nwaekeke leads the team in rebounding with 7.0 rebounds per game, is second with a 52.5 FG%, and is fourth with 10.2 PPG. Nwaekeke's 7.0 rebounds per game is fourth in the AMCC.

 

BEST OF THE REST: La Roche F Arnes Bajgora averaged a double-double with 29 points and 11.5 rebounds as La Roche clinched the AMCC Regular Season title...PS-Altoona F Dequan Jackson helped his team go 1-1 in AMCC play to finish out the regular season and take the fourth seed in the upcoming conference tournament, as he averaged 22.5 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 3.0 steals per game, 1.5 assists per game, and 1.0 block per game...Pitt-Bradford G Christian Kelly-Perkins led the Panthers in scoring this week, highlighted by a career-high 32 points in Wednesday's loss to Penn State-Altoona...Hilbert G Masia Phillips helped Hilbert College to a 2-0 week with road wins at Penn State Behrend (69-54) and Mt. Aloysius College (65-64), just missing a double-double vs Behrend with 16 points and nine rebounds, he then survived early foul trouble on Saturday vs the Mount to bail the Hawks out with a game winning three-point shot with 0:07 remaining - helping secure the Hawks' sixth straight win...Mount Aloysius G Josiah Jones averaged 15.0 ppg including 14 points and six rebounds in a win at Franciscan, helping to clinch an AMCC Tournament berth, as he also shot over 40% from long range for the week, and was also responsible for only one turnover while producing six assists...PS-Behrend G Andy Niland led the Lions to secure the No. 2 seed in playoffs with a double-digit victory over Penn State Altoona, as he shot a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, including 2-of-2 from long range, while knocking down 8-of-11 free throws, for a game-high of 20 points, while also adding six assists and one steal in the contest...Medaille F Jonathan Smith had another great week for the Mavericks, averaging 13 points and 7.5 rebounds to help Medaille go 2-0 and clinch the number three seed in the AMCC Tournament, as he started the week with 10 points and five rebounds against D'Youville, and followed that up with 16 and 10 against Franciscan for his third double-double of the season...Pitt-Greensburg G Kyle Bondi posted a double-double in Pitt-Greensburg's games this past week at La Roche and against Pitt-Bradford, as he averaged 11 points and 11 rebounds on 59% (10-of-17) shooting, totaling 12 points on 5-of-9 from the floor and 10 rebounds at La Roche and posting 10 points and 12 rebounds in the regular-season finale against Pitt-Bradford...Franciscan C Matt Trent averaged a double-double for the week as he handed out two assists and posted one block, shot 45% from the floor and was 4-for-5 from the free throw line.
