PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hilbert G Antonio Alvarez shot the lights out this past week, as he went 17-for-18 from three-point range, for an astounding 94%. The freshman led the Hawks to a 2-0 record, averaging 31.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, scoring a career-high 34 points in the win over D'Youville and adding 29 points against Pitt-Greensburg. Alvarez went 10-for-11 from long range against the Spartans before connecting on all seven from downtown against the Panthers. The 6'3" guard shot 77.8 percent from the field last week and currently ranks second in the AMCC with a 42.7 shooting percentage from behind the arc. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona F Dequan Jackson put up a season-high 28 points while securing a game-high 13 rebounds to record his second double-double of the season in an overtime victory over Mt. Aloysius, while also chipping in four steals and two assists, he then scored 20 points to go along with three assists, two rebounds, and two steals in a big win over first-place La Roche...Medaille C Mike Hollenbeck made the most of his last two regular season home games, averaging 20 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as Medaille went 2-0 to stay in the hunt for an AMCC postseason home game, including a season-high 32 points on 10-19 shooting on Wednesday in a thrilling 117-11 overtime win over Pitt Bradford...D'Youville G Jeremy VanDuluitgaarden had another solid all-around week for the Spartans, leading the team in scoring with 15 points while grabbing seven rebounds and two assists on Wednesday in a loss to Hilbert, he then went 8-11 from the field and 2-3 from three to score a team high 22 points in the 75-66 win over the Barons....Franciscan F Matt Trent led the Barons to a 1-1 week, including a 60-57 OT win over Pitt.-Greensburg as he averaged 15.5 points for the week and 11 rebounds and has posted four-straight double-doubles, while also tying the single-season rebound record for the Barons...La Roche G Trell Thomas averaged 14 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 1-1 week...Pitt-Bradford G Reggie Rogers dropped a career-high 29 points to help the Panthers take Medaille to overtime on the road as he connected on five three-pointers and also dished out a game-high eight assists, and then followed that up by scoring 10 points and adding five assists to help Pitt-Bradford to a huge win over second-place Penn State-Behrend...Mount Aloysius G Julian Stover produced 18.0 ppg and 6.5 rpg for the week, as he shot 50% from three-point range, including a 4-7 performance in an overtime loss to Penn State Altoona...PS-Behrend F Dan Wanker averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in a tough 0-2 week for the Lions, as he recorded 13 points, eight boards, and two steals against the top-ranked Redhawks, and knocked down a game-high seven field goals for 17 points against UPB.
