PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pitt-Bradford G Eric Matheson led the Panthers to a crucial 2-0 week with victories over D'Youville and LaRoche. The Panthers defeated the Spartans 85-75 in the AMCC Game of the Week that featured the two teams battling for the last playoff spot. In the game of the week the senior guard notched a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. He was also key in the victory over LaRoche, scoring 27 points and adding five assists. Matheson also knocked down 10 of his 12 free throws on the week. He averaged 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and played all but 78 of 80 possible minutes. Matheson is tied for first in scoring in the AMCC with 19.7 points per game.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Franciscan G Christian Duke averaged 21.0 points and 11.5 reboounds for the Barons, shooting 56.3% (18-32) from the field and posting a pair of double-doubles on the week...Medaille G Chris Willingham averaged 18.5 points per game en route to leading the Mavs to a 2-0 week, including a 14 point effort in a nineteen point (71-52) win over #21 Penn St.-Behrend on Wednesday, and became the tenth player in Medaille history to reach the (1,000) point milestone...Pitt-Greensburg W Rocco Contristano turned in two AMCC double-digit performances for an 18.5 point per game average, converting all nine of his opportunities, as currently ranks second nationally with a 93.9% free throw percentage...D'Youville G Marcus Clarke scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds in a win over PS-Altoona and 15 points against Pitt-Bradford, finishing his career as the all-time leading scorer in D'Youville men's basketball history...PS-Behrend F Zane Hackett averaged 16.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in an 1-1 week for the Lions, scoring 25 points on 9-of-10 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds in a win over Mount Aloysius...Hilbert G Sean Weisansal led the hawks to a win in the battle for second place, posting 24 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and five steals, shooting 58.3 percent from the field and connecting on 8-10 foul shots...La Roche F Arnes Bajgora averaged 20.5 points and nine rebounds in a 1-1 week for La Roche...Mount Aloysius G Dillon Bender moved up to 8th on the all-time Mount Aloysius scoring list after scoring 14 points on the road at Penn St. Behrend.
