The first AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week for the 2022-23 season features Pitt-Bradford hosting La Roche University. The Panthers enter conference play with a league-leading 6-5 overall record, while the Redhawks are right behind them with a 5-6 record.

The last time La Roche and Pitt-Bradford met up was in the regular conference season last year. The Redhawks were able to come out victorious in both contests by double digits, but La Roche is not underestimating the Panthers in the least. With the team losing Kadyn Hannah to Division II Cal U, the Redhawks have been forced to dig within themselves to step up.

Devon Darrell, a senior for the Redhawks, has stepped up to lead the team. Darrell averages 17.3 points per game, earning himself a 49% field goal percentage. Also earning 49.1% in the shooting stat line is senior Joe Pipilo who averages 14.6 points per game. Both can be found on the floor for the majority of the game. La Roche has found strength in their big men; Isaiah Thomas, Jordan Grayson, and Dom Elliot have all been seen so far this season as rebounding, and second-chance threats in the paint. The team as a whole averages just about 35 rebounds per game. Grayson leads them with an average of 11 points per game, and just over five rebounds per game.

Pitt-Bradford (6-5) enters conference play on a three-game winning streak, as they posted a 4-1 record for the month of December. They finished 2022 with an 89-75 win at Grove City in which Nathan Schneider scored 34 points. B.J. Williams added 17 in the game, while Trey Oyler scored 12 points off the bench on 4-4 shooting. Schneider leads the Panthers, and the AMCC in scoring and rebounding as he averages 25.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He is also second in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 62.1% from the field. Phillip Wallace is the only other Panther to average double figures, as he scores 13.3 per game.
