Penn State Behrend senior forward Dan Wanker tallied 16 points to reach 1,000 career points and help the Penn State Behrend men's basketball team defeat Franciscan University 77-43 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) on Saturday afternoon.

Behrend's Justin Gorny and Wanker combined for 39 of Behrend's 77 points. Gorny netted a game-high 23 points while adding five rebounds and Wanker registered 16 points, the exact number he needed to reach the milestone. Wanker hit 1,000 career points by sinking a free throw with 2:38 remaining in the second half.
