AMCC MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: PITT-BRADFORD @ BEHREND

AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week:

The Penn State Behrend (15-6 10-4 AMCC) men’s basketball team will host Pitt-Bradford (11-9, 9-5 AMCC) on Saturday at 8 p.m. for the AMCC Game of the Week. The Lions are currently tied with PS-Altoona for third place in the AMCC standings behind second-place La Roche and Medaille College who sits in first. Behrend has won five of its last six games in which they have averaged 86.2 points per game and have held their opponents to just 63.0. The Panthers have won four of their last five conference games, with their most recent loss coming to league-leading Medaille. 

Pitt-Bradford boasts AMCC Preseason Player of the Year, senior Forward Evan Greening. Greening leads the conference with 14.6 rebounds per game and is second with 20.1 points per game, while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor. Senior guard Manny Welch averages 11.9 points per game, while senior guard Fateem Brockington rounds out the double-figure scoring with  11.7 points per game. 

Sophomore guard Andy Niland leads Behrend in points per game (14.1), assists per game (4.0) and free throw percentage (91.3), in which he also ranks 12th in the nation. Senior guard Malquan Pullium is third on the team in rebounding (5.9 rpg) and second in scoring (13.3 ppg) while grabbing a team-leading 31 steals. Sophomore forwards Justin Gorny and Dan Wanker are the force on the boards for the Lions. Wanker is grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game and is shooting 51.8 percent from the floor while adding 12.0 points per game. Gorny is averaging 6.1 rebounds and 10.5 points per game.

The Panthers were victorious in their first meeting, outscoring the Lions 79-74.
