BEHREND MEN'S BASKETBALL EARNS BEST DIII SCORING DEFENSE TITLE

The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team will receive an award for finishing the season with the best scoring defense in all of Division III.

The Lions' defense surrendered only 60.5 points per game during the 2015-16 season, 0.3 ppg less than the second and third-best defenses in the nation of Salisbury and McDaniel (60.8).

Behrend held opponents to under 50 points six times during the season, including three straight games against Penn State Altoona (44), Alfred St. (45) and Franciscan (48).

They also held the opposition to between 50-60 points nine times, totaling 15 times out of their 27 games they held their opponents to under their season average.
