PENN ST. ALTOONA MEN'S BASKETBALL AIDS FUNDRAISING EFFORT FOR COACHES VS. CANCER

Members of the Penn State Altoona men's basketball team presented Alex Hamilton, representing the American Cancer Society, with a check for $1,503 on Thursday, January 30 in the Adler Gym. The money was raised during the third annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament on November 15 and 16, which was hosted by Penn State Altoona.

The tournament was originally created when the men's basketball coaches for Penn State Altoona, Juniata College, and Mount Aloysius College came together to produce an event that benefitted cancer awareness and research while promoting the area's Division III men's basketball programs. Last November's tournament was the third edition of the event, with Juniata and Mount Aloysius hosting the first two years.
