PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hilbert UTIL Austin O'Shei had an outstanding week to lead the Hawks to a 4-3 record. O'Shei started all seven games and finished with a .409 batting average, .536 on base percentage and belted his first career home run in game two against Eastern Nazerene. The senior leadoff hitter also scored 10 runs and stole five bases to pace the offense. Defensively, the senior backstop threw out both runners who attempted to steal on him while behind the dish to help shut down the opponents run game. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius C Doug Smith continued his fine play with three games last week, in which he had at least one hit in each, as he reached base an impressive nine times out of 12 plate appearances, hitting .667 and scoring six runs while also throwing out all three runners who attempted to steal on him...Pitt-Greensburg OF Ben Green had a great start to the 2020 season at the plate for the Bobcats, collecting six hits in 15 at bats, with three runs, a double and a triple, slugging .600 and posting a .500 on-base-percentage...Medaille OF Adrian O'Toole opened his rookie season with five hits in 11 trips to the dish, driving in four runs in four games, as he was the difference maker in the Mavericks' lone win against Martin Luther, where he went 2-for-4 with three runs batted in and a stolen base...PS-Behrend INF Josh Wagner went 4-for-5, including a double and an RBI against Monmouth on Sunday, extending his hitting streak to four straight games...La Roche INF Ryan Lynn had a great day at the plate in a 5-4 win over Swarthmore at Day One of the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, FL, as he batted 3-for-5 (.600) and recorded two singles, a double, an RBI and a stolen base.
