PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pitt-Bradford C/INF Evan Fragela hit .455 with two home runs, six runs scored and five RBI as the Panthers went 2-1 in their second week of play. In the tough extra-inning loss to Fredonia, Fragela was 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored, and two RBI while also drawing two walks and stealing a base. Behind the plate, he threw out two base runners stealing.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Wells DH Alan Compress had an excellent weekend, continuing his hot start to the year and providing an offensive spark for the Express in a 9-7 win over SUNY Poly, as he entered the lineup later on in game 2 of 3, from there he exploded, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, and three RBI, while also swiping two bags and scoring two runs for the Express who ended the weekend on a high note...PS-Behrend C Thomas Nicely has begun the season 4-for-7 (.572 avg.) at the plate with a team-high four RBI in two Behrend victories, as he went 2-for-4 and hit his first collegiate home run at Lancaster Bible, then on Sunday he drove in two runs with a single in the third inning vs. Wilkes...Mount Aloysius P/OF Tyler Quade had a solid weekend, as he picked up two hits in every contest, hitting .500  while also adding a homerun in the Mounties' Sunday loss and driving in four total runs...La Roche OF/C Dimitri Gary was solid at the plate for La Roche over its three-game week. He finished the week with a .500 average, going 4-for-8 with a home run and a pair of RBI. He played in two of the three games, collecting seven total bases, slugging .875 over those games. Through the first four games, Gary has appeared in three and is tied for the team-high with a .400 average...PS-Altoona OF Tyreke Green got his Florida trip off to a strong start at the plate on Saturday during the Lions' doubleheader with Dominican, as he went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, and he followed that up with a 4-for-4 performance in game two with a double, triple, and run scored, for the week he hit 6-for-7 (.857) with two doubles, a triple, a run, and a walk...Pitt-Greensburg OF/C James Domer went 3-for-5 with three doubles against Washington and Jefferson, he had two RBI and a run scored, accounting for three of the Bobcats five runs.
