PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Wells INF Jacobi James went 9-for-17 (.529) last week with seven RBI, two doubles and one triple, while also adding one stolen base as the Express opened the season going 3-1. James currently ranks third in the AMCC in batting average (.529) and fourth in RBI with seven. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert 1B Patrick Whelan reached base safely in four of his seven plate appearances, including a two-run home run to lift the Hawks to a 2-0 record to open the 2024 season, finishing the week with a .400 batting average, .571 on base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage while adding a pair of RBI and three runs scored...PS-Altoona 1B Jonathan Rauch got his 2024 season off to a strong start at the plate in Sunday's doubleheader split at Mary Baldwin, in two games against the Squirrels he went 4-for-7 with two doubles, five RBI, four runs scored, and a walk, giving him a .571 batting average, .625 on-base percentage, and .857 slugging percentage...Pitt-Bradford UTIL Max Rogers led Pitt-Bradford offensively on opening weekend, hitting .429 with two extra-base hits and two RBI as the Panthers split a doubleheader with Bethany, in the walk-off loss he was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI triple and added a run-scoring single in the win...Alfred State SS Caleb Walker helped lead the Pioneers to a 3-2 start tallying two homers, two doubles, two stolen bases, and eight RBI, while hitting .381...Mount Aloysius P/OF Tyler Quade had a solid start to the 2024 season, picking up a hit in all four of the Mounties' games over the weekend, including multi-hit games against Montclair State and McDaniel, two of his hits went for extra-bases and he drove in a run, while stealing three bags...Pitt-Greensburg OF James Domer went 3-for-7 with two extra base hits (double and triple) and three RBI, he also scored a run for the Bobcats, while also recording eight putouts on eight chances in the field.
