PITCHER OF THE WEEK: La Roche JR Larry Bielawski was lights out for the Redhawks, leading them to a 2-1 game one victory in Saturday's doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Bradford. In the seven inning opener, Bielawski tossed a complete game, allowing just one run, three hits, one walk and struck out four. Panther batters hit just .130 off Bielawski and he ended the game with a .57 WHIP.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius FR Anthony Maseto solidified the Mounties' first AMCC victory of the season, tossing 3.0 innings out of the bullpen to earn the victory, as he allowed just one hit and struck out five Pioneer batters, improving his record to 3-0 with a 2.45 ERA...Wells SO Zander Johnson had an strong start for the Express against Alfred U on Thursday en route to a five-inning, one-hit shutout victory, with the only hit that Johnson allowed on the day was a blooper that skirted the right field line, coming inches from giving Johnson the no-hit bid going into the final out of the game...Alfred State JR Ryan Kinney picked up a win after pitching 7.0 innings, as he tallied a new career-high of 11 strikeouts, scattering eight hits and only allowing two earned runs with no walks...Pitt-Greesburg FR Conner Burkey pitched and earned his first collegiate win against Hilbert in an AMCC matchup on Friday, as he pitched six innings and struck out seven batters, giving up just one earned run, recording a 10.50 k/9 and 1.67 whip...PS-Altoona SR Tristin Lockett pitched six shutout innings in the Lions' 8-5 win over non-conference opponent Waynesburg last Tuesday, as he secured his second victory of the season, blanking the Yellow Jackets across six frames while allowing only two hits and two walks and striking out three batters...Hilbert SO Ron Mort went four shutout innings allowing just a pair of singles and striking out five to pick up the win over SUNY Canton on Tuesday afternoon...Pitt-Bradford JR Shawn Mannering surpassed 100 career strikeouts as he lost a tough pitchers' duel 2-1 against LaRoche, as he allowed two earned runs over 6.0 innings of work while striking out nine batters in the loss.
