PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Mount Aloysius SO Tanner Abrams had a productive week out of the bullpen for the Mounties. He pitched five-plus innings in both appearances, allowing just one total earned run. He earned a victory against Dean, where he stabilized the Mounties providing 5.2 innings of three-hit baseball, while striking out four batters. It was the first victory of his career, while beginning to establish himself as a major piece of the Mountie 'pen.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert JR Dylan Moorhouse improved to 4-0 on the season with a complete game victory at Waynesburg this past Wednesday, as he was one out away from a shutout before the Yellow Jackets scored off an error to spoil his shutout bid, he finished the day without allowing an earned run and struck out five while lowering his AMCC-best WHIP to an outstanding 0.90 for the season...Pitt-Greensburg SO Matt Mazzara started the game and went the distance against Bethany, giving up just two runs in the process, as he struck out five batters, good enough for a 6.43 k/9...Wells JR Jonathan Haines had an excellent outing in his only pitching action during the last week, allowing three hits in 4.1 innings against a tough Olivet squad, as he also picked up three strikeouts in the showing, and shut out Olivet, allowing zero runs...PS-Behrend SO Ethan Tinker earned his first win of the season on the mound for Behrend, only giving up one hit in three shutout innings to go along with four strikeouts in a 7-2 victory over Waynesburg in game two on Sunday...Pitt-Bradford JR Brayden Hageter made two appearances for Pitt-Bradford in Florida, allowing one earned run in 4.2 innings pitched against Babson and Skidmore, as he struck out six batters in those innings, posting a k/9 rate of 11.57.
