AMCC Baseball Games of the Week:
Mount Aloysius College @ Hilbert College
Sunday, April 3 at 12:00/3:00pm

The Hilbert College baseball team hosts Mount Aloysius College for the AMCC Games of the Week on Sunday afternoon.

Mount Aloysius is coming into the weekend having won their last three games. They have a number of contributing players that have helped them to 11 early-season victories. At the plate, Fr. C/IF Aidan Bell leads the Mounties with 21 RBIs and five homeruns, while hitting .327. Two-way Fr. Tyler Quade has made an impact, as well. He’s made four starts on the mound, while earning three victories, and adding four different multi-hit games at the plate. The Mounties continue to also receive solid performances from veteran players all over the roster, as they look poised to start the AMCC schedule strong.

Hilbert (8-10) enters AMCC play as winners of five of their last six contests. The Hawks have been led this spring by second basemen John Riviere-Vejas and designated hitter Patrick Whelan. Riviere-Vejas currently sits top-five in the conference in batting average (.434), on base percentage (.508), hits (23) and runs scored (19) while leading the AMCC with 15 stolen bases. Meanwhile, Whelan is hitting .404 with a 1.023 OPS and sits in the top-five in the AMCC in RBIs (18). On the mound, the Hawks are led by Michael Contini who is tied for the league-lead with three wins. Over three starts, Contini is 3-0 with a 4.24 ERA and has tallied 12 strikeouts over 17.0 innings of work.
