PROFESSORI, MACK HEADLINE BASEBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM, ZBEZINSKI NAMED NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

La Roche University senior second baseman Joe Professori has been tabbed as the AMCC Player of the Year. Professori led the AMCC in hits, home runs, and total bases, ranked second in runs, batting average, and slugging percentage, third in RBIs, fourth in at bats, and seventh in on base percentage. Professori is one of the most accomplished players in Redhawk history. Earlier this season, Professori broke the school's all-time hits record and over the weekend as he became the school's all-time leader in RBIs. He also has the sixth longest on-base streak in NCAA Division III history. Professori is now a four-time AMCC All-Conference performer. He is an All-Region performer, a four-time AMCC Regular Season and Tournament Champion, a NCAA Mideast Regional Champion and World Series participant.

Alfred State College senior pitcher Garrett Mack is the AMCC Pitcher of the Year. Mack went 5-1 overall this season with a 2.72 ERA. In conference play, he racked up a 4-0 record with a 1.57 ERA, while pitching 59.2 innings on the season. He allowed just 45 hits while striking out 53 and holding opponents to a .200 batting average. Mack went a stretch of six appearances, including 37.2 innings, without giving up an earned run. During that stretch was three straight complete game wins against AMCC opponents in which he allowed a total of 13 hits, two unearned runs, and struck out 34 batters. Mack finishes his career with a 12-6 record in 33 appearances and a career 3.74 ERA with 107 strikeouts. Interestingly enough, Mack did not pitch collegiately until his sophomore season, as he was an outfielder during his first year at Alfred State.

Newcomer of the Year honors goes to Penn State Behrend freshman pitcher Thomas Zbezinski. Zbesinski finished the regular season tied for first in AMCC games with wins at 5-1. He also tied for first in games started, while ranking fourth in ERA (3.03) and fifth in innings pitched (35.2). Overall, he was first in wins at 7-1 and  second in appearances (11), innings pitched (56.2) and complete games (3). Zbezinski also ranked fourth in ERA (2.86) and in strikeouts with 47. The freshman struck out 15 batters in his second game of the season against Hood.

Mount Aloysius College head coach Kevin Kime is the 2019 AMCC Coach of the Year. After an eighth place league finish just one year ago, Kime led the Mounties to a 27-16 overall record, while going 12-6 in conference play on their way to a fourth seed in the conference tournament. Kime also coached four different Mountie players named to D3Baseball's Team of the Week this season, the most among any AMCC school in 2019.
