  • 2017 SPRING SPORTSMANSHIP TEAMS ANNOUNCED

    All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.
  • Nathaniel Hyman, Hilbert College, Men's Lacrosse

    Hyman led the Hawks to the AMCC showcase title this week. Hyman was allover the field recording nine points on five goals and four assists but he also led the team in ground balls (14) while causing two turnovers. His one-on-one defense helped hold Medaille and Alfred State to a combined four goals in two games.
  • HILBERT DEFEATS ALFRED ST. TO WIN INAUGURAL MEN'S LACROSSE SHOWCASE TITLE

    Hilbert College wrapped up a 6-0 season against AMCC oponents with a 13-3 win over Alfred State in the inaugural conference men's lacrosse showcase tournament.
  • HILBERT, ALFRED STATE ADVANCE TO MEN'S LACROSSE SHOWCASE CHAMPIONSHIP

    In the AMCC men's lacrosse showcase semifinals, #2 Alfred State University outscored #3 Franciscan University 11-0 in the 2nd and 3rd quarter as they defeated the Barons 16-5, while #1 Hilbert College was dominant in their 27-1 victory over #4 Medaille College.

    Hilbert College has claimed the inaugural regular season AMCC men's lacrosse title and is set to host the first conference showcase tournament this weekend.

    Groves finished his senior campaign with a bang, scoring 10 goals and adding one assist last week for the Mavericks. He had 20 shots on goal, and scored a career best nine goals in one gme in the season finale against Wells College.
  • Jonas McCaig, Franciscan University, Men's Lacrosse

    McCaig led the Barons to a 2-0 week, including an impressive 27-9 win over La Roche. McCaig posted eight goals and four assists, a career-best performance for the junior. He followed up the eight goal, four assist performance with six goals and four assists against Mt. St. Joseph on Saturday. For the week, McCaig had 22 points, including 14 goals and eight assists, two of his goals came man up. McCaig picked up 10 ground balls and caused three turnovers, and recorded a 73.5 shot on goal percentage.
  • HILBERT MEN CLAIM FIRST CONFERENCE LACROSSE TITLE

    The 2016-17 academic year marks the first year for men's lacrosse in the AMCC, and Hilbert College has claimed the first conference title.

    Nicoloff led the Hawks offense this week with five Goals and seven assists. Nicoloff is leading the AMCC in points 63 and Assists 37. With four games remaining in the regular season, Nicoloff is one assist and 15 points shy from breaking the Hilbert Season record.

    Nicoloff continued to lead the Hawks Offense this week in two key games with five goals and six Assists. With these 11 points, Nicoloff leads the AMCC in points (51) and assists (30) and leads the all of Division III with points per game (6.375).

  • Joe Lomady, Franciscan University, Men's Lacrosse

    Lomady had an outstanding week for the Barons, as the sophomore finished the week with 21 goals, two assists and won 36 of his 46 face offs, while also picking up 46 ground balls. His 11 goal, two assist effort against Medaille set FUS' program record for goals and points in a single game. Lomady now leads the Barons and AMCC with 42 points and 40 goals - the 40 goals ties FUS' record for a single-season goal total with six games left in the season. Lomady scored a pair of man up goals this week and had a 56.5% shot on goal percentage.

    Groves played extremely well as Medaille opened the 2017 season 1-1. Groves had a goal and an assist in the opener at Houghton then really broke out with four goals and four assists against La Roche College on Saturday. Groves finished the week with five goals, five assists, and added five ground balls. He leads the team with 22 total shots and 13 shots on goal.

    Nicoloff earned his first career double digit point game after scoring six goals and assisting on six other hits for Hilbert in their 26-6 victory over La Roche. Nicoloff also led the Hawks with four man-up goals behind 14 shots, nine on goal. He added four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
  • Jonas McCaig, Franciscan University, Men's Lacrosse

    McCaig was an offensive spark in the Barons' 2-0 week to open the season. In Franciscan's 14-13 win over Oglethorpe, McCaig's final goal of the game proved to be the difference maker as he pushed the Baron lead to 14-9. Against Carroll, he tied the game 6-6 right before half time and gave Franciscan its first lead of the game with a goal just 1:00 into action in the third. McCaig finished the week with eight goals and three assists, picking up nine ground balls, causing three turnovers and finished with a 62.1% shooting percentage on goal.
  • Aaron Buck, Alfred State College, Men's Lacrosse

    Buck scored nine goals, including six against Hiram, and added five assists to help the Pioneers to a 1-1 week. Buck currently leads the team in scoring.
