Franciscan University freshman Catherine Long helped the women's cross country team to a 11th place finish at the National Catholic Championship meet, hosted by Norte Dame University, Friday evening.
In her first 5K event in college, Long took 33rd overall with a time 20:30.5. Not far behind Long was junior Bernadette Williams who took 37th overall with a time of 20:45.1.
Sophomore Grace Galligan was the next Lady Baron to cross the finish line as she came in 84th overall with a time of 22:54.2. Sophomore Kara Shaughnessy wrapped up the race 89th overall with a time of 23:25.0. Freshman Morgan Litterer came in 96th overall with a time of 25:25.2.
Sophomore Carolyn Poston was the final FUS runner as she came in 98th overall with a time of 24:34.1.
