LIONS TAKE FIRST PLACE IN BEHREND INVITATIONAL

The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished first out of 11 teams during their home meet Friday afternoon scoring 41 points for the 5K race.

Fredonia placed second at the invitational with a team score of 50. Gannon followed in third (52) and Westminster came in fourth with a score of 83.

Leading the Lion's for the second straight meet was freshman Savanna Carr with a first place overall finish. She finished with a time of 19:35.0. Sophomore Riley Crissman crossed the line second for Behrend and third overall with a time of 19:50.6. Sophomore Caitlin Plazony placed eighth overall 20:18.6.

Sophomore Jenna Shelton and freshman Kelley Giles rounded out the Lion's top five finishers with times of 20:41.8 and 21:18.3 respectively giving them 10th and 20th place overall finishes.
