BEHREND WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY LOOKS TO REPEAT AS CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS

Penn State Behrend enters the AMCC women's championship meet looking to earn back-to-back conference titles, as Franciscan University aims to reclaim their 2014 championship.

The Lions earned first place finishes in three of the four invitationals they competed in this fall. 2015 AMCC individual champion and Runner of the Year, senior Rachel Ramsey, opened the 2016 season with a first place finish at the Westminster Invitational. Freshman Riley Crissman came on strong during the season, taking first place finishes at the Behrend and Houghton Invitationals. Crissman holds the top 5K time of the season with her 19:12.3 finish at Houghton, while her 23:24.2 6K finish at Rowan University was good enough for the second-fastest 6K time of the season.

Franciscan sophomore Bernadette Williams turned in an impressive performance in the Barons' last meet of the year, crossing the 6K finish line at the Oberlin Invitational in 23:07.7, and claiming the top spot for the fastest 6K time in the AMCC this fall.

The AMCC championship meet will take place on Sunday, October 30 at Pitt-Johnstown, with the women's race set to begin at 11am.  All teams will have the opportunity to participate in the NCAA Division III Regional Meet on Saturday, November 12 hosted by DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.
