BEHREND WOMEN CLAIM CROSS COUNTRY TITLE; FRANCISCAN'S GALLIGAN IS INDIVIDUAL CHAMPION

Penn State Behrend has claimed back-to-back women's cross country titles, including four in the past five years, Saturday morning on the Campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Franciscan University, 2016 runners-up, featured the top two runners of the race, with Grace Galligan finishing the 6K first in 25:11.0 and freshman Bernadette Williams right behind her in second place with a time of 25:26.69.

Behrend had the next two runners cross the finish line, freshman Riley Crissman (25:55.30) and freshman Caitlin Plazony (26:11.69).

Hilbert senior Kylie Reinholz rounded out the top five, completing the race in 26:21.75.

The season will continue on November 12, at the NCAA Division III Regional hosted by DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.
