CRISSMAN LEADS BEHREND TO FIRST PLACE FINISH

The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team took first out of 11 teams in the 5k Behrend Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The Lions (65), who finished the race six points ahead of second place Westminster (71), had four women finish in the top 25. Freshman Riley Crissman crossed the line first for Behrend and came in second overall with a time of 20:25.2. Point Park, Cuyahoga, and Houghton rounded out the top five with team scores of 84, 94, and 128, respectively.

Senior Rachel Ramsey came in behind Crissman to finish second for the Lions and 6th overall with a time of 21:05.2. Freshman Caitlin Plazony finished third for Behrend and 10th overall and Katelyn Hancock came in fourth and 21st overall with times of 21:17 and 21:58.1, respectively.

D'Youville College placed ninth as team and was led by freshman Kathryn Piraino who crossed the finish line in 45th place with a time of 23:46.1.

Hilbert College claimed a 10th place finish behind sophomore Megan Lee's 21:56.2 17th place overall finish.

Medaille College finished in 11th place, led by junior Jessica Maguder's 42nd place finish. She crossed the finish line in 23:33.6.
