Pitt-Greensburg, Penn St. Behrend to Face Off in Women's Tennis Final

Defending champion Pitt-Greensburg will take on Penn State Behrend in the finals of the AMCC women's tennis tournament on Sunday.

The top seeded Bobcats handed #4 seed Mount Aloysius College a 5-0 loss. Abigail Rosman and Isabella Lane were double winners, with Rosman earning points at #2 doubles and #3 singles, and Lane claiming victory at #3 doubles and #6 singles.

Behrend, the all-time leader in team titles with 14, defeated #3 seed Penn State Altoona, 5-1.  The Behrend Lions held a 2-1 advantage after the doubles, winning at both #1 and #2 but yielding #3 to the Altoona Lions.  Behrend took charge in singles, capturing #3, #4 and #5 singles to seal the deal.  Jayna Baer (#3 singles, #2 doubles) and Rachel Fleming (#4 singles, #2 doubles) were both double winners for the Lions.

The finals will be played at 3:30pm at Oxford Athletic Club in Wexford, PA.  The winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Div. III tournament in May.
