SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona JR Avery Heisey had a hand in setting four new Penn State Altoona women's swimming team records during last week's three-day Oberlin Invitational. In the 100 Yard Freestyle, the junior set a new team record of 54.08 to place third while competing in the 'A' final of that swim. She also helped establish three new team records in relay events. In the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, Heisey and her teammates posted a total time of 1:43.29 to take fourth place and set a new program record. In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, she was part of the group that set a new school record time of 4:21.56 and placed eighth. Heisey's third relay record came in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, in which she combined with her teammates to clock in at 3:47.03 to place fifth.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State SO Mikaela Snayczuk led the way with a 2nd place finish in the 100 breast (1:09.48). She was also 4th in the 200 breast (2:37.39) and 9th in the 200 IM (2:18.75). She was part of the following relays as well - the 200 medley relay was 4th (1:53.55), the 800 free relay was 5th (8:29.09), the 400 medley relay was 7th (4:18.73),and the 400 free relay was 7th (3:51.41)...PS-Behrend SO Emma Webster set a new team record and took third in the 200 backstroke (2:11.12) at the Oberlin Invite. She also placed fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:00.97) and seventh in the 200 IM (2:22.21).
