ALFRED STATE MEN, WOMEN IN FIRST PLACE AFTER THURSDAY'S EVENTS

With day two of the 2022 Allegheny Empire Swimming & Diving Championships in the books, the Alfred State College men hold on to their first place spot, while the Alfred State women are now edging Penn State Behrend by one point for the AMCC lead. 

Alfred State FR Kellen Fletcher took first place in the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:54.31, while FR Luca Aldewereld was the top finisher in the 50 free, touching the wall in 20.94. The Pioneer 200 free relay team made up of Fletcher, Jazz WidneyStuart Yates, and Aldewereld also recorded a top time of 1:24.85.

Penn State Behrend FR Tim Compton led the way in the men's 500 free with a time of 4:41.21.

On the women's side, Alfred State FR Madison Snayczuk led the AMCC in the 50 free, finishing in 22.79, while Pioneer FR Sarah Streeter was the top AMCC women's 1m diver with a finals score of 258.65.

Penn State Behrend SR Marcella Puglia led the AMCC in the 500 free with a time of 5:17.22.

Penn State Altoona JR Grace Dangelo finished first in the AMCC in the women's 200 IM, touching the wall in 2:15.39. The Altoona 200 free relay team of Avery Heisey, Dangelo, Sarah Petry, and Madison Coleman led the AMCC with a 1:42.13 finish.
