Lauren Yoder, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Defensive

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pitt-Greensburg GK Lauren Yoder had a fantastic week in goal for Pitt-Greensburg and helped guide the Bobcats to wins over Mt. Aloysius and Penn State Behrend. With the win over Behrend, Pitt-Greensburg clinches its first-ever AMCC regular-season title and clinches both the top seed and home field through the upcoming postseason tournament. Yoder made three saves in the 3-1 victory over Aloysius and put together arguably her best performance of the season against Behrend, stopping a season-high 13 shots to post her 16th win and 12th shutout of the season. Yoder set the tone early in the first half against the Lions as she stopped a Behrend breakaway and made a fantastic kick save to keep the game scoreless. The sophomore netminder leads the conference in wins, save percentage, goals against, as well as goals-against-average.

BEST OF THE REST: D'Youville GK Laurie Poeller had another impressive week for the Spartans, as she recorded a shutout in the 5-0 victory on Tuesday over Pitt.-Bradford, recording six saves and earning her fourth shutout of the season, and then allowing one goal in the 1-1 2OT against Franciscan on Saturday...PS-Altoona D Arianna Mancini led Penn State Altoona's defensive efforts during a 2-0 week of AMCC play in which the Lady Lions limited La Roche and Hilbert to just one combined goal in two games, as the road wins clinched an AMCC Tournament berth for the Lady Lions...Hilbert GK Brianna Stegmeier went 1-1 on the week grabbing the Hawks' first win of the season, making six saves against Medaille and 11 saves against Altoona...La Roche GK Isabelle Orange went 1-1 this week playing nearly 170 minutes between both contests against Penn St. Altoona and Pitt Bradford, as she made a combined total of 11 saves while only allowing two goals...PS-Behrend D Ava Michael started in two games this week for the Lions, as she had two shots on goal while contributing one assist and one goal against Alfred State, she then helped defend the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats on Saturday while having one shot on goal...Mount Aloysius D Summer Schell helped the Mounties limit their opponents to one goal each defensively, while also adding a goal in the 9-1 win over Alfred State on Saturday.
