UPG SWEEPS WOMEN'S SOCCER TOP AWARDS AS ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IS RELEASED

Pitt-Greensburg senior F Ashley Lucas has been named the AMCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. Lucas broke the Pitt-Greensburg career records for goals scored and points this season, despite missing a full season due to the COVID pandemic. Lucas finished the regular season tied for the conference lead in goals with 17, as well as being the sole leader in assists (9) and points (43). Lucas was named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week two times this season and was the ECAC South Player of the Month for the month of September.

Pitt-Greensburg junior D Nylah Pannebaker has earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Pannebaker was part of a back line that gave up just two goals throughout conference play. She played the most minutes on the team with 1523 minutes played. Pannebaker helped the Bobcats capture their second AMCC Regular Season Championship in three seasons. 

Newcomer of the Year goes to Bobcat freshman F Megan Hickey. Hickey finished the season tied for the AMCC lead in goals (17), as well as finishing with the conference lead in shots (75) and points (40). The duo of Hickey and Lucas combined scored over half of the Bobcat goals this season. Hickey also finished in the top five in the conference in assists (6).

UPG head coach Chuck Wigle picks up his second career AMCC Coach of the Year award. Wigle led the Bobcats to a 7-0 record in conference play and their second AMCC regular season and postseason titles in the past three seasons.
