MEDAILLE'S KAPUSCINSKI NAMED TO THE 2014 CAPITAL ONE ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

Medaille College women's soccer forward Candis Kapuscinski was selected to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District Team.

The forward has been a big contributor on the field this season as she currently leads the Lady Mavs in goals with seven and points with 15.  She also leads the team in shots with 56 and game winning goals with four. The junior is a two-time all-conference selection in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

The Lady Mavs are currenlty 7-9 after starting 0-4, and will be the #4 seed in the AMCC tournament.

Kapuscinski has also been chosen this year as the Medaille Athlete of the Week as well as the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week.

Just this past week she was also the Student-Athlete Spotlight of the week for the Athletic Department due to her great achievements on and off the field.

Off the field, her resume is even stronger.  She currently has an unblemished 4.0 cumulative grade point average.

Kapuscinski has been recognized with the AMCC F.A.R. Award, Alpha Chi Honor Society and Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
