BRADFORD'S SMITH, BEHREND'S LLOYD RATED AMCC'S BEST IN 2014

Pitt-Bradford sophomore forward Melissa Smith and Penn St. Behrend senior midfielder Shelby Lloyd lead an all-star cast of AMCC women's soccer players for 2014.

Smith, the Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, ran away with the league scoring title, racking up 71 points on 30 goals and 11 assists.  Lloyd was a key midfield defender who helped the Lions to their fourth straight conference title by holding the AMCC opposition to just .833 goals per game.  Her standout play eaned her Defensive Player of the Year honors.

La Roche College forward Vanessa Ceravolo was named Newcomer of the Year.  The Redhawk ranked among the league leaders in both points (28) and goals (13) in her freshman campaign.

Franciscan University's Clare McBane was selected Coach of the Year.  The Lady Barons had a program-best season, recording a 13-5-1 record overall and an 8-1 record against conference opponents while earning the #2 seed in the AMCC tournament.
