KROLICKI, OUTLAW PICK UP TOP HONORS AS WOMEN'S LACROSSE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IS ANNOUNCED

Franciscan University senior midfielder Mary Krolicki has been named the AMCC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year. Krolicki led the team and was second in the conference with 46 goals this season. Krolicki had 50 points to cap an impressive Lady Baron career in which she ended with 170. The senior won a conference-best 69 draw controls, picked up 38 ground balls, and caused 18 turnovers. Krolicki has played in 54 games at Franciscan and has scored in 52 of them, riding a 47-game point scoring streak. She was 10-for-15 in free position shots, had an 87.5 shot on goal percentage, 77 shots on goal, and scored at least one goal in every game this season. Krolicki also set the Baron single-game draw control record with 12 against Waynesburg.

Defensive Player of the Year honors goes to Medaille College freshman defender Thelma Outlaw. The freshman from Middletown, NY had a standout freshman campaign for Medaille, quickly becoming one of the top defenders in the NEAC and AMCC. At the end of the regular season Outlaw ranked first in the NEAC with 56 caused turnovers and second with 69 ground balls. She also earned 60 draw controls, tops on the team and eighth best in the NEAC. She earned a career best 13 ground balls against Lancaster Bible, causing 11 turnovers and earning NEAC, AMCC, and ECAC DIII North Defensive Player of the Week honors. Outlaw followed that up with yet another stellar week, earning the AMCC and ECAC DIII North Defensive Honors for the second week in a row on April 25. She finished the regular season ranking 36th in the NCAA earning 4.5 ground balls per contest and was 10th in the entire country in caused turnovers per game with 3.71. She also added offensively, scoring eight goals and adding one assist for nine points. 

Medaille freshman midfielder Claire Purdy has been tabbed as Newcomer of the Year. Purdy scored 42 goals and 57 points while scooping up 47 ground balls, earning 40 draw controls and causing 26 turnovers. On April 18 she was named the ECAC DIII North Offensive Player of the Week and also earned AMCC Offensive Player of the Week honors that same week. She currently ranks top 10 in the NEAC in caused turnovers, ground balls, free position goals-shots, and goals and is 13th in points.
