The Lions sit at 13-1 in conference play, one game ahead of La Roche. Behrend collected its second straight win over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, 89-36. The 36 points scored by the Panthers is the lowest offensive output by an opponent this season. Behrend senior guard Caitlin Carnuche reached 1,000 points for her career in the second quarter on Saturday, becoming the 13th player in program history to hit the milestone. Last week, Alanna Dibble shot 78.3 percent from the floor in two AMCC wins. Dibble averaged 20.0 points and 5.5 rebounds, tying a season high with 23 points on 10-for-11 shooting against Pitt-Bradford.

Since they’ve gone on their streak Mazyck has had four double-doubles. She now averages 12 points, and eight rebounds per game. The Redhawk defense has also improved. Forcing more turnovers during these past 10 games than any other game of the season. Danajah Sanders leads that charge for La Roche. Sanders shoots 41.8 percent from the field, for an average of 14 points per game. Captaining the ship in consistency has been freshman Makayla Abram, who is having a great rookie season. Abram averages 12.7 points per game, and shoots almost 50 percent (49.8%) from the field. She also captures a total of six rebounds per game.

The Lions defeated La Roche 62-42 at home on January 12. Behrend now leads the all-time series with a 30-24, while La Roche has won 14 of the last 19 contests with the Lions.
